Band leader, David Logeman, performed with the amazing classic rock artist, Frank Zappa. David did a major US tour and a European tour with Zappa in 1980. David recorded on two classic Zappa albums in 1981, "Tinsel Town Rebellion" and the double album, "You Are What You Is". After Zappa's death in 1993, David was also on a minor hit record that was included in the Greatest Hits Zappa album, "Strictly Commercial".
In March of 2023, Universal Records released Zappa's "Mudd Club", where David appears on every track. In September of 2023 Universal released a double live Zappa album, "Live In Berlin" which is the last recorded concert David performed with Frank Zappa.
A few months ago, the Zappa family authorized an official Frank Zappa tribute band. David was asked to sit in and perform live with the band at a local Hollywood club. Check out this video of the group's performance of a Zappa song that David last played 42 years ago!
